We are currently looking for a Business Risk Manager on behalf of one of our clients, a private bank based in Geneva, for a 18-month fixed-term contract.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established private bank and play a key role within the first line of defence. Working in close partnership with Front Office teams, you will contribute to ensuring high standards of client due diligence, AML controls and risk management, while supporting the business in meeting Swiss regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic and event-driven reviews of client relationships, including higher-risk and more complex structures.
- Ensure the consistency between client profiles, supporting documentation and transactional activity.
- Review and validate KYC documentation, supporting remediation activities where required.
- Analyse transaction activity and investigate unusual transactions or alerts generated through monitoring systems.
- Act as a trusted partner to Front Office teams by providing day-to-day guidance on AML, KYC and client risk-related matters.
- Support the implementation of account restrictions and other appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Contribute to reporting activities, KPI monitoring and the ongoing enhancement of first-line control processes.
- Participate in internal projects, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Profile
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Business Risk, AML, KYC reviews or transaction monitoring within a Swiss private bank.
- Solid knowledge of the Swiss regulatory framework, particularly AML and client due diligence requirements.
- Experience reviewing complex client structures and conducting risk-based assessments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in close collaboration with Front Office teams in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive, organised and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent in French and English.
